The location of Lochindaal was perfect for exploring the island. Just a short walk from the Port Askaig ferry, everything felt accessible. I loved the Superior Family Room. it was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast was a standout, particularly the full Scottish option and the salmon, which I definitely recommend. The staff's genuine hospitality added warmth to our experience, making it feel welcoming. However, the bathroom felt a bit outdated and could use a refresh to align with the rest of the room's comfort. Overall, a lovely family-run hotel that adds charm to your stay on Islay.

It was an excellent fit for a rapid stop in Port Charlotte with good value for price. The bartender was super helpful in getting us a table at another restaurant when the hotel kitchen was unavailable.
